Padres

Hi my name is Phil and I grew up as a long suffering New York Mets fan.  As a boy I played some baseball (short stop) but mostly listened to the broadcast team of Bob Murphy, Lindsey Nelson and Ralph Kiner on the Mets Radio Network (my local radio station broadcasted the Mets games) . Those were the best of days despite the Mets troubling seasons.

Flash foward to October 1999 when I arrived in San Diego, California. Being the baseball nut that I was I started rooting for the San Diego Padres at the start of the 2000 season. 17 years later I am still a Padres die-hard fan.
